Aykut Bakay graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Tourism and Hotel Management Department in 1986.

Began his career at Turkey’s firs boutique hotel as a receptionist in Yeşil Ev, belongs to Touring and Automobile Club of Turkey.

He continued his tourism career at a Marriott International brand Polat Renaissance Hotel as a front office manager.

Following the requests coming from the new boutique hotels in the hictorical peninsula Sultanahmet area, started from the pre-opening periods and worked as General Manager for 7 years.

With the proposal of the managing Yeşil Ev Hotel which was his first job, began to work again at the Touring Club.  He worked for this club 9 years as a manager in various different types of touristic facilities.

And than Mr Bakay started to work for a new opening of an IHG brand hotel , Crowne Plaza OryaPark in 2013. Started from the project to the construction process of the hotel, documenting and opening up for sale, created all the technical and physical substructure and established all departments such as front office, housekeeping, sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, purchasing departments. He worked for 5 years in order to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction according to international standards.

He is an expert from the construction to the installation of hotels with in all configurations and is involved with standards from the lowest to the highest level, including international hospitality applications, at the academic level. He also shares his hotel management knowledge on www.aykutbakay.com and also in various tourism newspapers. He has a good command of English.

Mr Aykut BAKAY is married and has one child.
